How To Build A Unique 1K Page Niche Website in 30 Minutes

Yeah I know what you are thinking, but I promise you can build a 1000 page niche website in 30 minutes.

The video tutorial below (at the end of this post) will show you how.

But let me just explain the concept.

The niche websites that I am speaking of are niche tube sites.

This is how it works.

STEP ONE.

I visit www.youtube.com and look for video categories with millions of views. Not just videos with millions of views but where all the videos in a particular category have millions of views.

Normally my search starts with videos that I am actually interested in. For example at one time I found myself addicted to watching different documentary videos about different conspiracies and such.

Apparently I was not the only person that these videos caught the attention of, because they had millions of views.

This meant that a lot of people were interested in the topic.

So an idea for a niche website could be a site with tons of conspiracy theory videos. An example of a site that is doing this already is www.conspiracyrealitytv.com.

But their are a ton of ideas that you can go with.

And yes you can also go the adult route, but you won’t be able to use Adsense.

Actually there are many niches where you can’t use Adsense, which I learned the hard way.

STEP TWO.

I research the domain name that I want to go with. In the video below I initially think of going with impersonation videos. I think impersonation videos are funny, so I thought it could be something that might work out.

Also with these niche websites, I really don’t put as much time and research into them as I do with a site that I actually write the content for. With a niche video site I kinda go with the philosophy of just throwing ideas against the wall and seeing what sticks.
It costs ten dollars for the domain name for one year. So I give each new site one year to make at least ten dollars a month or I don’t renew the next year.

I have yet to have a site that has not made me the initial ten dollars back, so I really have not lost anything but the time it took me to build the site.

When researching a domain name, I don’t really worry about the keyword having too much competition. Actually when making a niche website for the sole purpose of making money with Adsense you want the competition to be high, because that means that there are more advertisers available.

You also want a high price per click, at least $1.00 or more.

These are just basic guidelines, but one thing that I always say is that there are no real rules to this internet business stuff, just best practices.

I say this because you can break these rules, which I have done, and achieve results that based on the rules you should not be achieving.

For example one of the rules is that you should pick a keyword that has a high pay per click. Well I have use terms with low pay per click and ended up averaging $2 or more per click, which should have never happened based on the keyword.

The reason why this happens is because a lot of times, the ads that Google displays on a website that you have arrived on through a search result won’t even show an ad based on the keyword you typed.

Just a few days ago I was searching online to buy my wife a new computer desk. I spent about an hour looking until I gave up because she wasn’t happy with anything I suggested. But, thats not the point.

The point is that every site I went to after that kept showing advertisements for computer desks regardless of what I was searching for. I think I was looking at some finance blog and instead of seeing financial ads, Google was still trying to sell me a computer desk.

So what am I getting at here.

Stop listening to rules!

You know what’s funny, is that time and time again I will listen to some of my favorite internet gurus (who I highly respect) and they will spend so much time teaching the proper way to build an online business even though the way there teaching isn’t the way they built their business.

I understand it’s important to teach what you have learned along the way, but sometimes it’s a good idea to actually teach the process used even if it wasn’t the best way because apparently it worked.

For example. just today I was listening to a podcast where the individual was explaining his back linking strategy and how important it was (which I do agree is important) but in the same breath he said that his most successful websites were created before he new anything about back links and that they ranked and did so well merely because the content was great.

“To be successful do what the successful people do” not just what they say they do.

I subscribe to content first back links second.

Or on page seo first off page seo second.

My mom used to alway say “how you gonna go out tryin’ to impress other people (off page seo) when you ain’t even got your own house in order (on page seo)”

Actually my mom is a little Korean lady who never said anything close to that, but she should have because it’s true.

So for these particular niche video sites, my research is basically just determining whether the topic is popular, meaning they get a lot of view on Youtube.

Then I want to make sure the domain name I want to buy has at least a respectable amount of searches. If I must give you a number, then shoot for at least 500 searches a month. You can and will get more than that, because people are going to find your videos through long tail keywords you never even thought of.

STEP 3

Make sure the domain name you want is available. I do this by going to Godaddy as you can see in the video. I like to go with a .com if possible. .net is my next choice then comes the .org.

STEP 4.

Get the website set up. This means point your name servers to your hosting account. I use Hostgator. Then upload WordPress to your website.

If you want an in depth step by step tutorial on how to build a website, which covers this whole process of buying the name, pointing the name servers and installing and setting up WordPress, check out this post.

STEP 5

Get phpmyvideoblog plug in. This is the plugin I use for all my tube sites and the one that I show you how to use in the video. The good thing about phpmyvideoblog is that it can post videos from a whole bunch of video sites. Youtube.com, Dailymotion.com, Metacafe.com etc. It also can pull content from a large number of adult video sites as well.

I do have a few adult video sites in my portfolio for good measure. The good thing about adult video sites are that the traffic just comes in swarms. You don’t have to do anything at all but post the content and people will search it out like a dog searching for a bone under a couch.

The bad thing about adult video sites is that the ppc advertising pay so low. I am still figuring out the best way to monetize my sites but for now I am just using blacklabelads.com

Black label ads is the same company as adbrite. They don’t pay great but they do pay. my top earning site get’s about $30 a month lol, but it’s steadily growing. Here’s a screen shot of my big pay day below.

That’s about all to it for building my niche tube sites.

This is not a strategy that I believe will provide any huge financial rewards but several hundred to a thousand dollars extra a month isn’t anything to squawk at.

This strategy is simply a passive income strategy in my scheme of diversified income strategies that I can just set up and pretty much forget about. I check on each of my sites a few times a month and normally that is done from my iPhone while I am on the toilet (I’m sorry, military has made me a bit crude).

This is totally risk free, because I simply use the profits I make from my sites to purchase the domain names any time an idea pops into my head for another video site.

Remember what I said about screw the rules!

Here’s a tip. My most successful niche tube site, is one where I did zero research on other than seeing the videos on Youtube and being blown away by how many people watch that stuff (referring to the niche I chose) then going to buy a name to match the niche.

That’s it.

Watch the video to see me create a niche site pretty much the same way. I did this whole video on the spot, solely for you guys as a tutorial. It took me about 30 minutes to find a niche, buy the domain, set up the website, and fill it with content.

Also you will learn a cool trick I use, with a small line of code to make it look like the videos on the site are always new every time a visitor visits the site

Here is the link to phpmyvideoblog.com which is the plugin I use in the video to get the videos onto the site.

  1. That was great! That video got me excited again. I had an idea for a video site in the past but never knew how to go about doing it or even that software like that existed so thanks. But I do have a bunch of questions after watching it and I will have to watch it about 10 more times Smile. My first question before I even attempt to do this was how did your sites like this get visits, did you have to advertise and do any backlinks, and how do you do SEO on wordpress for this? Sorry so many questions.

    • Jesse Reed Jesse Reed says:

      Good questions.

The sites get visits by the sheer number of posts and the vast amount of long tail key word phrases. Once you start posting, the search terms that provide you traffic will be unexpected.

One thing I do is look at some of the terms that people searched to find my site, and use that term or a variant of it as a term for posting more videos.

For example if someone found my site by searching for toilet pranks, I would create a query in the phpmyvideoblog plugin for the term toilet pranks. This is basically giving people more of what they are searching for.

I don’t backlink or anything like that.

It will start off slow but as you continue to post traffic will pick up gradually, unless you just picked a bum niche which in that case I just let the domain expire after a year.

Keep the ones that work, let the ones that don’t expire

For seo I just use the all in one seo plugin

      • Thanks! Will keep you updated on my progress.

        • Jesse Reed Jesse Reed says:

          Please do

          • Hey me again :) . So I have my site up, yay! But I am still trying to figure some things out and I have more questions, I know sorry.

I wanted to know if you could give me the random code and let me know where I should put it.
Also I have seo all in one, do you put tags and keywords in for the video posts or not?
Also last thing, I realized after I made the site that I can’t use adsense, do you know of any other programs similar to adsense?
            Guess that’s all for now.
On my way to my first dollar :-)
            Thanks Again!

That’s awesome, I’m surprised that domain name was available.

            Why can’t you use Adsense?

are you banned or is it because of the nature of the site.

I do believe fighting videos are one of the niches Adsense does not allow.

            Here is the code

            < ?php query_posts($query_string . '&orderby=rand') ?>

I place it right under this code in the main index template

            < ?php if ( have_posts() ) : ?>

No I don’t add tags to each video. Actually when you import the videos it should come with tags included.

In the All In One SEO panel I put a check mark next to

            Use Tags for META keywords:
Dynamically Generate Keywords for Posts Page:
